A New Season
If I have not seen you this year, then I wish you a Happy New Year! Can you believe that this is a New Year and a New Decade? With the new year and new decade, our possibilities to live that life that we dreamed about are endless. Recently, I read an article that said, "Change is Inevitable!" Time changes, season changes, and we change (We're getting older!). While change is inevitable, we still struggle with the joys and pains of living! My doctor reviewed my X-rays with me. He concluded his assessment and said that the accident aggravated arthritis in my back and neck. So, like a child, I asked why? He said you are getting old.
I don’t know if that is the definition of arthritis, but I will use the information to do more of the things that I love to do now. Since I don’t know when I developed this additional ailment, I don’t know what season I am living. With this unexpected warm weather, we should not be surprised that we do not understand what seasons we are living. I know from experience that I am often baffled because I am not sure if I am at the beginning, the middle, or the end of a season. Do I celebrate, hide in a corner, or fight?
While I move through my life journey, I watched many of our community members take control of their spiritual, physical and emotional well-being. Although some said it was my influence that caused their shifts, I believe that that we supported each other. So, as I continue to experience joy, hopefulness, and Fun, I hope that I continue to brave and conquer my fears, overcome my struggles, and be a beacon of light to everyone around me!
